Join us at Viking Lakes for the ETS Walk to Stay in the Fight—an event dedicated to raising awareness around veteran suicide and supporting those who’ve served.

Why We Walk
The 2.3-mile route around the lakes serves as a symbolic reminder of the 23 veterans lost to suicide every single day. But this isn’t just about numbers. It’s about hope. It’s about community. It’s about showing up for the veterans who need us.

Every dollar raised goes directly toward Every Third Saturday—supporting veterans with clothing, connection, and purpose after military service. Whether you're a veteran, a family member, or a supporter, your steps help carry our message forward to all veterans. We’re here to foster post-traumatic growth and remind every veteran: you still have a mission.

Event FAQs

EVENT

Yes! Service dogs are allowed to join us on the course and in the event area. Please keep them leashed at all times for the safety of your pet and other event participants.
Yes! We encourage participants of all ages to join us on event day. However, please be mindful of creating space for other walkers to pass if necessary.

REGISTRATION

No, you do not have to fundraise to participate in the event. Participant registration fees help offset the cost of the event. Fundraising is what fuels the work but is not required.
Your registration fee is not tax deductible. The fee provides you with access to the event and helps offset costs. However, any fundraising outside of registration IS considered tax-deductible.
You will receive a Walk T-shirt at check-in.

Absolutely!

We encourage participants to invite family, friends, colleagues and more to participate in the walk. We kindly request that anyone planning to join the event register in advance so that we can plan for the needs of all participants.
Yes, it is recommended that all children register for the event. There is no cost for children 12 years of age or younger.

Race day registration will be available, but we cannot guarantee availability of items like T-shirts and swag bags. Please register online as early as possible so that we may adequately prepare for the needs of all event participants.
All donations on your behalf will be credited to your individual fundraising total through Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. CT. To receive a Stay In The Fight T-shirt, you must individually raise $100. To receive a 2025 Commemorative Stay In The Fight Challenge Coin, you must individually raise $1,000. Fundraising awards are based solely on individual totals, not team totals.

TEAMS

No, you can simply register as an individual!
A team is a group of two or more participants.
Participating with a team connects you to others with a shared reason for participating. The best teams provide motivation, encouragement, support and team spirit.
When registering for the walk, you can click "Start a Team" and enter your Team Name and Team Goal. You will receive an email with a fundraising page link and further details.
When registering for the walk, you can click the "Join Fundraising Team" drop down and search for the team you'd like to join. You will receive an email with a fundraising page link and further details.
Yes. Their registration gives them access to the multiple fundraising channels and connects them to the community of participants.
Ask members to register for the walk by visiting https://www.everythirdsaturday.org/walk - Once on the registration page they can select your team name from the "Join Fundraising Team" drop down. Be sure to let them know your team name!
We are unable to split or transfer donations between individual and team accounts. All fundraising will show under individual and roll up to the team total.
